Achieving Health & Safety Standards in Design & Technology
To enable existing D&T teachers and technicians achieve the DATA/TTA health and safety standards (based on BS4163:2000) we have produced
a CD/web-blended resource which has been awarded the Zurich Municipal IOSH Supreme Safety Award for 2002.
The use of this resource will reduce the required amount of training time by approximately 1/3 and
therefore save significant supply teacher costs and reduce the disruption to lesson delivery. It also provides an on-going resource for refresher training in the future.
